The municipalities of Sundridge, Strong, and Joly are exploring the potential benefits and challenges of amalgamating into one municipality. This initiative aims to examine whether combining resources, governance, and services could lead to better efficiency, improved services, and long-term sustainability for all three communities.

Please be advised effective Wednesday, September 4, 2024 the Strong Landfill Site 2 located at 950 Muskoka Road will be open the following days/hours:

  • Wednesdays - 9:00 am until 5:30 pm
  • Thursdays - 9:00 am until 5:30 pm

Strong Landfill Site 2 accepts household garbage and recycling only!

Take Notice: The Township of Strong’s final tax notices have been mailed/emailed to property owners.

Strong has made changes to their installment dates, as per the Property Tax Collection Policy. Both interim and final taxes have been broken into two installment dates:

  • Final Tax Notice due dates: Installment #1 August 16th - Installment #2 October 18th
