Welcome to the
Township of Strong

The first settlers arrived in Strong Township as early as 1876. Strong Township is a township in the province of Ontario, Canada. Located in the Parry Sound District, the Township surrounds but does not include the Village of Sundridge. The Township had a population of 1,439 in the Canada 2016 Census. The Township surrounds Lake Bernard, which is claimed to be the world’s largest freshwater lake without an island. The lake is the most important asset. It attracts people in all seasons for swimming, fishing, sailing, canoeing, skating and many other sports. It provides photographers and artists with endless hours of recreation.

There will be a Public Meeting on July 12, 2018 at 7 pm at the Armour Ryerson & Burk's Falls Arena, 220 Centre Street to save the Huntsville Hospital. Come out and have a say in the healthcare services provided to our area!

Sundridge Strong Recreation Committee is hosting a Pre-teen Dance (13 and under) on June 22, 2018 from 6-8 pm at the SSJ Arena (14 Albert Street, Sundridge). Admission is $2.00.
